I’m David Bessenhoffer, a multidisciplinary creative and maker-of-things based out of Seattle, Washington. With over 25 years of experience in nearly all facets of print and digital visual communication, I love to create work that educates, resonates, inspires, and entertains.

As a team leader, I take great pride in helping my team members thrive. Mentoring and empowering them to reach their full creative potential is one of the most rewarding aspects of my work, and I’m committed to ensuring their contributions are recognized and valued at both individual and leadership levels.

I have crossed many fascinating intersections throughout my career journey, finding myself lucky enough to be an Emmy-winning filmmaker, visual artist, creative director, UX and product designer, and a recording and touring musician along the way.

Professionally, I’ve brought those skills to a variety of individual clients, as well as companies like Microsoft, Expedia, Dell, PayPal, and the University of Washington.

David Bessenhoffer was born at an early age to a friendly pack of itinerant circus werewolves who never left their human form. Weary of the carny life, he left the circuit at the next lunar equinox and became besotted with all manner of art, film, and music (except the banjo).

He is currently located in Seattle, Washington. He is a compulsive illustrator, friend to all dogs, slightly above average guitar player, very below average karate instructor, and ardent admirer of grotesquely large eyeglass frames. He enjoys very loud rock ‘n’roll, very quiet banjos, and his favorite city name is “Sheboygan.”
