For the new Brand Anthem for The University of Washington, we wanted to showcase real students and faculty engaged in what they actually do at the university. In addition to depicting the amazing experiences potential students could expect at UW, we also wanted to showcase the incredible beauty of the Pacific Northwest - a scenic wonder without equal.
Since the university only refreshes its main branding every 4-5 years, we made sure we had enough footage to cover various iterations of :60, :30 and :15 second versions, where scenes can be mixed and matched depending on marketing need.
And that voiceover? None other than the incredible multi-Emmy winner and UW alum, Jean Smart!
STORYBOARDS
Presented here are the detailed storyboards from the project. Due to various budget and time constraints, I utilized generative AI to create these visual aids. This method saved a considerable amount of time in this stage of the process, although I still feel slightly guilty for not drawing them myself.
